Instructions for Proper Use
- Open the Protector
Using gentle pressure, pull apart the protector, separating it into its two halves.
- Examine the Halves.
The two halves are similar, but not identical. Place them on a flat surface, open side up, and inspect each half. Identify the one with the smaller diameter.
- Place Pog onto Protector.
Decide which side of the pog you want to face up. It’s personal preference, but I like the text/ratio side up.
- The “up” side will end up being flush against the protector.
- The “down” side will have space between the pog and the protector, which adds an attractive feeling of depth to the artwork.
Carefully balance the pog atop the half with the smaller diameter so that it sits evenly. This can be a little tricky as there are slight size variations of the pog and protector. DO NOT push the pog into the protector. If part of the pog drops in at a slant or seems stuck, don’t panic. Remember that disclaimer about force…
- NEVER push or force the pog down into the protector. This could potentially bend the pog and/or make it more difficult to remove.
- NEVER attempt to pry out a pog with a tool or your finger if the pog appears stuck. This could damage the pog or protector.
- NEVER bend, bang, stab, or slam the protector to “knock” the pog out. Again, this action could result in damage to the pog or protector and isn’t super effective. There are better ways.
*See FAQ section to easily and safely remove a “stuck” pog.
- Seal Pog in Protector.
Now, pick up the other half of the protector, the one with the larger diameter. Gently close it down over the pog. Be careful not to knock the pog out of position (if you do, return to step 3). The protector should seal together firmly. Inspect around the protector to ensure it’s fully sealed.
- Insert Protector into Stand
The protector should slide in and out of the stand with no issue. The curved side is considered the front side and was designed to complement the contour of the pog.
- Store the Kit Inside Your Can
Place the capsule in first as you would an unprotected pog. It should lie flat along the bottom. Next, insert the bubble-wrapped figure as you normally would. Slide in the stand alongside the bubble-wrap. Close the lid.
- Removing Pog from Protector.
The protectors are meant to hold the pog indefinitely. However, if for any reason you’d like to remove it, the process is quite simple. Repeat step 1 to open the protector. Holding it protector horizontally as you open it allows gravity to help. In most cases, the pog will come right out!
If it doesn’t, check out the FAQ section.
